Bolden is a global beauty brand rooted in science and built for women of color, with retail presence in 1,500+ Walmart stores. As a content marketing strategist on the team, I owned end-to-end creative content strategy and execution across newsletter and social media channels, from audience research through publishing, optimization, and performance reporting. Grew combined social audience to 100K+, maintaining email open rates of 40%+. Our social presence led to Bolden being discovered by buyers for Walmart and subsequently being stocked at 1,500+ Walmarts across the U.S.
Umu Biafra is a docuseries I co-produced in 2020 exploring the Nigerian-Biafran Civil War through a modern storytelling lens. I led content strategy, developed the social pillars, and scripted all three episodes alongside dozens of short-form videos. My work using storytelling as a form of activism was later featured in the Malala Fund's editorial platform, Assembly.
